Concurrent Licensing

Unlimited Users, Managed Sessions

Create as many user accounts as you need. Pay only for concurrent sessions. No more credential sharing, no per-seat pricing traps.

The Difference

Per-Seat vs. Concurrent Licensing

See why concurrent licensing makes more sense for field operations.

ScenarioPer-Seat Concurrent
20 officers, 5 on patrol at once Pay for 20 seats Pay for 5 sessions
Hiring a new team member Buy another seat Just create account
Seasonal staff for 3 months Pay full year per person No extra cost
Admin needs occasional access Full seat cost Uses session when needed
Security & accountability Often share logins to save $ Everyone has own account

The Math is Simple

If you have 50 employees but only 10 are ever working at the same time, why pay for 50 seats? With concurrent licensing, you pay for 10 sessions and give all 50 people their own secure login.

Why Concurrent Licensing?

Unlimited User Accounts

Create accounts for every team member - full-time, part-time, seasonal, or on-call. No artificial limits on how many people can have credentials.

Pay for Concurrent Sessions

Your plan includes a set number of simultaneous logins. Only active sessions count - if someone logs out, that slot opens up immediately.

No Credential Sharing

Stop the security nightmare of shared logins. Everyone gets their own account with individual audit trails, accountability, and access controls.

Predictable Costs

Know exactly what you'll pay each month. No surprise charges when you hire someone new or bring on temporary staff - just manage your session limit.

How It Works

Understanding FieldPad's flexible licensing model.

1

Create Unlimited User Accounts

Go to Settings → Users and add as many team members as you need. Each person gets their own username, password, and role permissions.

2

Users Log In When Needed

Team members log in when they start their shift. Each active login uses one concurrent session slot. Your dashboard shows how many sessions are currently in use.

3

Sessions Free Up Automatically

When users log out, close the app, or their session times out, the slot becomes available for someone else. No manual management required.

Built-in Timeouts:

  • Inactivity timeout: 60 minutes
  • Absolute session max: 12 hours
4

Upgrade If You Need More

If you consistently hit your session limit, you can upgrade your plan to add more concurrent sessions. Check Settings → Subscription to see current usage and upgrade options.

Monitor Your Usage

Check your active sessions in Settings to see real-time usage. If you're regularly hitting your limit, consider upgrading. If you're rarely at capacity, you might be able to downgrade and save money.

Who Benefits Most

Perfect For Operations With Variable Staffing

Shift-Based Teams

Security guards, patrol officers, and facility staff work in shifts. Your morning crew logs out, evening crew logs in - same session slots, different people.

Seasonal Operations

Summer events, holiday parking, or school year operations. Add seasonal staff accounts freely - they only use sessions when actually working.

Multi-Location Organizations

Property management companies, security firms, or municipal operations spanning multiple sites. Staff at different locations rarely overlap.

Part-Time & On-Call Staff

Give every part-timer and on-call employee their own account. They only consume a session when actually working - not sitting idle on your payroll.

Security You Can't Get With Shared Logins

When everyone has their own account, you get complete audit trails. Know exactly who submitted which report, who made which change, and when. Shared logins make this impossible.
